J'aecar displays a rather relaxed and aloof exterior upon meeting him, leaving many to remark him as reserved or tough to strike a conversation with. Despite his stand-offish appearance, J'aecar is actually quite protective and caring towards those he is close to and considers his friends. He would never label himself a hero but wouldn't blink twice on taking a blow or two for loved ones or those they're bonded to.
Unfortunate to some, J'aecar is somewhat comical, adding a bit of levity to situations that are otherwise serious. Underneath this, though, he is quite perceptive in terms of reading other people and acknowledging changes within his surroundings; likely referenced back to his training as a traditional clan hunter. He's fairly calm, serious, and level-headed in combat despite his more carefree personality traits labeling him as a bit of a wild card whose moves can be a challenge to pin down.
J'aecar is notably known as a flirt, or charmer, to a lot of women he meets and waves it off as merely being a kind gentleman. His flirtatious nature has gotten him into a bit of trouble here and there especially when he's had a few drinks. The cat lacks his usual filter when his cheeks are warm and his head is fuzzy. Still, J'aecar holds a lot of respect for womanly figures and will not stand by if someone else decides to think otherwise. He was primarily raised by women with the attitude of acknowledging they can do just about anything they set their mind to and more. Otherwise, the cat's other noticeable traits would lie in his strong will, blunt speaking, and unwavering position on the things he believes in.

  • Hey, hey, hey! I'm Ree (they/them), living on the west coast timezone PST. My schedule varies wildly during the weekdays but I'm available in-game RP later in the night on weekdays & weekends. However, I'm available daily on Discord for RP in-between work!

  • Please inform me if something I say or do makes you uncomfortable and/or if you're not having a good time. It's the last thing I'd ever want to do but, understandably, this can happen unintentionally. Speaking openly is my goal!

  • I would appreciate any discussion or idea toward severe injury, temporary/permanent disfigurement, or anything that could present trauma be mentioned ooc beforehand! Murder is a strict no.

Hooks

  • Guide for Hire - J'aecar and his band of associates are always on the hunt for their next job; their all workaholics. Perhaps you've seen their flyer in passing or were recommended by someone else to seek their service.

  • Toss A Coin - Though his days of traveling about Eoreza as a freelance musician are behind him, J'aecar still enjoys playing at pubs or nestled on the side of the street for people to listen freely.

  • Buy You A Drink - J'aecar is a social drinker through and through. He's happy for an excuse not to drink by himself and is known for offering to pay for people's drinks despite still owing money on his own tab.

  • Woodland Wanderer - If the miqo'te isn't required to be inside a city, you can bet he's out wandering the local woods. He's a very avid explorer when time allows for it.

  • Chocobo Talk - Laws permitting in certain areas, J'aecar is rarely seen without his Chocobo, Raymond. They've been through a lot together and, due to circumstances, Raymond is the only family he'd say he has.

Relations

Laila Okoyo
Were it not for J'aecar sustaining a near-fatal wound, it is unlikely these two would have met. Laila and the Okoyo clan were kind enough to ween J'aecar back to health upon finding him in the Shroud close to their home, allowing the man to build quite a relationship with them, despite their secretive nature. Things could not stay as they were, however, as the man eventually healed and would need to be on his way. He recently reunited with Laila by pure chance while scooping a local fight scene. J'aecar is very grateful to have her company again and is eager to help Laila along her spiritual journey set upon by the Okoyo clan.

Miki Mol
Though their companionship is quite new, J'aecar has already been through a ringer of events with Miki, including nearly being kidnapped by an opposing tribe. As an act of thanks (plus he could never say no to a cute girl), J'aecar has agreed to show the Mol woman more of the world outside of the Steppe and hopefully find her 'purpose'.
